But at least the Miyoshi clan is completed. I've got another clan being tarted up at the moment but I'm not sure who to field them as. The mon is done but I can't remember who it was supposed to be as several clans use the same one.
I'll get a whole clan shot done in the next few days.

James your figures are amazing. What company are the figures from?
ReplyDeleteThank you :-)
DeleteThey are all from the Perrys extensive range. I've got 600-700 figures and only four or five are not Perry (Old Glory I think).
cheers

Lovely looking models JB. I am curious about the pose of the model with the arrow catcher; is he a messenger? It looks like he is kneeling.
ReplyDeleteThanks :-)
DeleteHe's kneeling whilst delivering a message to his lord, I just haven't painted them in that order lol
cheers

Ah, I see. I always wondered whether, or exactly how, the arrow catchers worked. It almost looks like a target lol
DeleteLol
DeleteOriginally they were cloaks tucked into the the belts of the messenger (I'm assuming the cloak was a notification of who the messenger was) and over the years it developed into the bamboo framed 'horo' that we see in the sengoku period.
