There is plenty of content to be written up and loaded here and I've made a start drafting some of it up. I'll hopefully be posting several times a week again biut we'll see how it goes.
I did make some images for the other social media sites I frequent and here they are for posterity :-)
Excellent experience and well worth the trip (I even was able to take some work out with me, both digital and physical). Here are some random photos of the tourney.
Japan excelled with the whole thing making it (in my opinion) the best RWC ever. The biggest downer was the fact that Heineken were the beers sponsors (a bidding decision made before the Japanese beat the Springboks in 2015) and also that there wasn't enough water at the stadiums to begin with. It was liveable though lol
Excellent atmosphere at all the stadiums and the volunteers were great; waiting until after the match to high five the fans when they were leaving :-)
A quick note about the typhoon. we weren't effected where we were but hats off several of the teams that helped with the clean up afterwards and the moments silence in the stadia afterwards was fantastic. The only sound was from a couple of babies here and there which of course isn't a problem :-)
I support Japan and the fact they got into the quarters by beating all four of their opponents was probably the best bit of the whole tourney. Let's hope they do better for the next RWC!
A massive thank you all those involved both in front and behind the scenes. Onwards to 2023 in France!
