These also go along with the Empire buildings I'm making and the idea is to play with an altered version of Muskets and Tomahawks (which is the go to rules set in the group that I play with) which will include some simplified magic.
The first photo is of what I had painted years and years ago so recently I've started to tart them up, re-based them and given a good coat of matt varnish
So far I’ve only done the artillery and Elector Count but the other figures aren’t far off and I’ll show them soon once they are complete. I’ve also got a couple of character figures that are done but need rebasing that are in a figure box somewhere.
Some artillery (I think I've got another 12 guns in various guises somewhere)
And here is the Elector Count of Nordland, Jakob von Sternheim
You have some classic old toys there...
ReplyDeleteI look forward to seeing the rest.
All the best. Aly
Cheers Aly :-)
DeleteI've just had a look at the size of the box I've got to get through and it ain't small lol

ReplyDeleteA man after my own heart!
These are wonderful mate. I especially like your count, particularly his freehand shield. The use of the Green Knight's horse is a really cool twist. Lovely work indeed.
Thank you kindly 😊
DeleteI don’t think I’ll ever field 12 odd guns but it’s nice to have a choice lol
cheers

Excellent! I too love the old Empire range. The elector count is a nice figure.. good use of the Green Knight's horse there (surely the most desired horse for all Warhammer conversions in the late 1990s!).
ReplyDeleteCheers mate 😊
DeleteThe horse was a lucky find on a b+b years ago. Held on to it ever since lol

I too have quite the artillery park (although not as well painted as yours!). Something about those empire guns was just very attractive to me.
ReplyDeleteMaybe you could use them all for a siege game? The rest of the army becomes the forces you use to fight off attempts to spike the guns.
That’s not a bad idea. I’ve got a few on naval carriages as well. Just need a wall big enough lol
