Rebels without a clue

So, another battle report from our Endor mini campaign.

After reporting to rebel HQ, Padawan Michinn and her team are sent back to the moon of Endor to try and gain as much inromation for a secret project the Empire is working on.

Trying a different approach the rebels manage to sneak into a heavily defended area...

The Rebels try to move up under cover but it's not long before they are out in the open and come under Imperial fire.

The Rebels are again aided by some small, hairy helpers...

Driving up the right wing, Padawan Michinn trys to take the Imperials by surprise with a mad rush into a group of them.

And fails...

On the left the Rebels manage to start to push the Imperials back.

After seeing Michinn gunned down the remaining Rebels on the right charge into the Imps undetered and inflict heavy casulties.

The left and right sides of the Rebel strike team push through to the centre and manage to force the Imperials back.

With the Imperials in a full rout the Rebel technician manages to get vital information on an Imperial TIE fighter that is undergoing testing. For what is yet to be determined...

So, a win for the Rebellion this time but what secrets will the TIE fighter reveal...

Rules were Galactic Heroes from Wiley Games available HERE

Scatter terrain is fom OSHIRO available HERE

Figures are a mix of Northstar and Wizards of the Coast.

The raid of Karasawa

The sleepy village of Karasawa was quiet with nothing much going, on the outskirts however, aband of roaming ronin were looking for trouble...

Fortunately, an ally of the villages diamyo, was in the area seeking out the local samurai over the issue of splitting the cost of a meal from the previous week.

Quick as a flash, the ronin broke cver and charged towards the Murakami troops and fierce fighting ensued (apart from Yamada Arinaga who ended up chatting to one of the local girls).

Hearing the clash of arms a small force of Sanada rushed into the village to see what the trouble was about.

Seeing that there was trouble in his village, Sanada Yoritomo quickly charged into combat with his faithful retainers and made short work of the ronin (the dice being quite a splendid factor in helping this to come about).

Unfortunately for Murakami Morokiyo, Yoritomo remembered about the splitting of the meal cost and also remembered that he and his retainers only had water all evening whereas Morokiyo's men drank all the sake. He saw this as unfair and set upon the Murakami troops with renewed vigour.

Needless to say, the Sanada men were victorious but Morokiyo managed to escape and will no doubt seek revenge....

Rules used were a variation of Fistful of Lead of which there will be a proper Japanese supplement in the New Year.

Akira - A little something for the road

And it is a little something. I don't have much time for this project at the moment but I've got a small, yet important, update.

I've made a little road widening piece to fit in between a building tile and the expressway to allow for better hand access.

It's only 100mm wide but I think it'll make playing on the ground surface much better. The top three photos are with the extension and the bottom three are without.

A journey to the Empire - The figures so far

Busy with finishing off some overdue commission work at the moment but I managed to compile the photos of the paltry amount of Empire figures I've completed so far. I took a ‘stock check’ of all the Empire figures I have and it’s around 400, plastics and metals....

First up is the Elector Count of Nordland; Jakob von Sternhiem
Then some generic troops and pistoliers (who have been converted to have fancy hats lol).
A fancy general/lord; Wilhelm von Darkmoor.
Young household knights.
A very small unit of great swords and then some artillery to finish off.

I've got some of the Perry Dogs of War being finished off and I'll post those when they are done.
