Fortified Manor House - Part Two

So, this build is progressing well. The main hall is complete and now I’ll move onto the compound. I’m going to change the curtain walls and have them higher and limewashed (similar to the Norman hall) to help tie them in; I also wasn’t too happy with how they looked.

The windows of the Norman hall have been drawn and 3D printed. The drawing program was Rhino (which I have used for many years with work) and the printer is an Anycubic Photon. The first picture shows the windows used in the model and although they’ve been painted and washed etc they have needed no cleaning up whatsoever. I was certainly pleased with this outcome and can foresee more printed parts being used in my builds.

The figure is a Perry plastic WotR for scale.

Onsen

Quite an enjoyable build this one. It's an onsen (spa) for the sengoku period. The only catalogue items are the small additions sets, everything else has been scratch built.

The fences might make an appearance in the catalogue at some point in the near future.

Some WWI

Quite a large commission this one involving several single and terraced houses, a ruined church and some early war trenches (which I think I’ve posted before).

The first terrace is almost done (the rest have been cut out, just need to be assembled etc). It’s an altered version of the Victorian terraces I do and I’ve done several alterations to allow for some visual diversity even though they will all be around the same size. The gardens are guess work for this one but I’ve recently been given some clearer info as to how the backs of the terraces would’ve been so future ones should be more accurate.

More to follow soon.
